        Proware™ Ceramic Mass Transfer Packings

        Proware Ceramic Mass Transfer Packings

Proware™ silica-alumina ceramic formulation is virtually iron-free and has a finely-grained microstructure resistant to alkalis, solvents, and acids with the exception of hydrofluoric acid.

Proware™ body is the standard material for all Saint-Gobain NorPro mass transfer products.  The Proware™ body results in high strength, low porosity, and chemically resistant tower packings.

        Typical Properties of Proware™

        Maximum Operating Temperature 1100ºC
        Leachable Iron ≤ 0.01%
        Acid Resistance (≤50mm saddle sizes) ≤ 4.0%
        Acid Resistance (75mm saddle sizes) ≤ 6.8%
Porosity (as measured by water absorption) ≤ 0.4%
Crush Strength (for ≥25mm saddle sizes) 120 lbs. min. (54 kg)

Proware Super Saddles | Saint-Gobain NorProProware™ Super Saddles

For superior mass transfer performance, the unique scalloped edge and strategically placed holes of the Proware™ Super Saddle results in maximum usable area for liquid/gas contact and minimum resistance to flow through the column. Thus, the Proware Super Saddle provides 5 - 30% greater mass transfer efficiency and 25% lower pressure drop than the corresponding size standard saddle.
